Engineering the Future

The nation's largest not-for-profit engineering education program teams middle school students with professionals and teachers to tackle the challenge of building a livable city of the future.

Through exciting, hands-on applications, students have fun while learning about science and technology, and developing valuable life skills.

. . . and, they have a chance to win a trip to the National Finals in Washington, DC.

Future City welcomes 6th Graders!
[May-10] Beginning with the 2010-11 term, the Future City program will be open to 6th grade teams. Register online.
 
Theme for 2010-11 will be health care.
[May-10] Future City students this year will serve as engineering leaders and design a product or system that supports and sustains the healthy living and wellness programs that doctors, nurses, patients, elected officials and ordinary citizens in generations to come will demand for their communities. McLean MS team in Washington DC
[Mar-10] The Ngoc Vien Dong team from McLean MS in Fort Worth went to Washington, DC to represent the North Texas Region in the national Future City Competition and returned with the "People's Choice" award for Best Model.
